Began fishing at the age of 11 on ponds lakes and canals around Greater Manchester. Started fishing for Barbel 23 years ago. Love river fishing in all its forms, over last fifteen years have developed a passion for game fishing of the affordable sort. Especially the fly at night for sea trout on the West Wales rivers and salmon fishing on my beloved River Severn/Afon Hafren. Believe that the Angling world suffers from over "specialisation" with too much focus on single species 'specialist angling'. We also face too many petty rules and restrictions.
